'Rihla' Cover Art

I was commissioned by a Turkish indie game studio to create the introductory animation for RIHLA, a 2D action-platformer inspired by Dan the Man, but set in a historical context. The client specifically requested a piece similar in tone and style to a previous animation I had created, which featured a pixel art sunrise behind a stained glass window [this one: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/lRPloe ]. They also asked for the new animation to include a mandala-like structure — symmetrical and with a repetitive pattern — to reflect the spiritual and historical tone of the game. Based on these references, I designed and animated a custom sequence that captures the atmosphere and rhythm of the world of RIHLA from the very first frame.
